Brand-new British artist, songwriter, and producer, Krystian Lamb, today releases their debut dance inspired song, Mother Said.

With a repertoire of experience behind the keyboard, Krystian has taken the next step in realising his musical vision as a songwriter and producer. Mother Said is an exciting step in music that further blurs the boundaries between music, poetry, and storytelling.

Kicking off with a trance-inducing intro, and quickly launching into one of Krystian’s signature high-energy piano accompaniment. Mother Said tells a story of overcoming the pain of losing somebody loved, set against the antithesis of an electronic dance inspired backdrop.  While appearing as a story about a breakup, and the comforting words spoken by a mother to their child; Mother Said holds a deeper, more intimate lyrical interpretation. With the more culturally appreciated version of love within contemporary music being an erotic type of love; seen within today’s music through displays of physical intimacy, Mother Said tells of a very different type of love. The innately innocent and hugely powerful Storgic love between a mother and their child.

Commenting on this deeper meaning of Mother Said, Krystian described the power between this song and its listeners:

“If a listener is able to reimagine and empathise with the actions of the lyrics through this type of Storgic love, listeners can experience a more powerful level of emotional engagement to this song. This feels like the perfect first release for me, because my music always aims to create emotional ties with anyone who encounters it. And that’s exactly what I’ve tried to embody with Mother Said.”

Available now on all major streaming and music platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music, this forms the first of an exciting upcoming catalogue of releases due throughout 2021.
